The “Tobogán Interactivo” (Interactive Slide) is a large inflatable slide with a sliding area that is 4 metres wide and 3 metres long which is at the same time a projection screen. A computer view system detects the movements, actions and attitudes of the children, making it possible for them to play with an interactive system over the slide’s sliding service.
An infinite number of games and educational and recreation experiences will be designed and developed over this surface without needing to change the underlying infrastructure.
In this game, we present a plastic and fun application that is especially designed for children between four and ten years old, although people of all ages can enjoy it.
The application is based on black and white graphical squares that slide from the top of the screen to the bottom. |

When they reach the bottom, they begin to accumulate and form an irregular black and white mosaic. When the mosaic reaches a certain height, the bottom row disappears and all of the rows move one level down.
This way, the mosaic is always changing and the image never fills the entire screen. Children may colour the squares with a specific colour from the top of the slide by placing their hands over the surface. If they want to change the colour again, they only have to take their hands away and put them on again. In this way, the squares fall with different colours and give a touch of colour to the mosaic. Children can slide down the slide at any time, and when they reach the part with the mosaic, the squares will scatter and reshape the mosaic. Lastly, at the bottom of the slide, children can play with the squares, changing their position like a malleable abstract picture. |
