Tecnodimension has actively participated in R&D&I programs co-funded by the European Union, demonstrating our capacity to develop cutting-edge solutions that address real-world challenges in sectors such as transport, renewable energy, and sustainable construction.
Tecnodimension has been part of Refresh XXL, a project funded by the European community where we worked to create a maritime transport system for fresh water. This was achieved by developing a flexible and cost-effective solution based on the use of modular flexible plastic containers (water bags) towed by a tugboat. Our approach combines inflatable structure design with advanced engineering: we developed high-capacity modular flexible plastic containers, optimizing profitability and reducing the carbon footprint.
Impact: This solution demonstrates how innovation and design in textile architecture can solve global logistical challenges, opening new opportunities in sectors such as water supply for coastal regions or the distribution of specialized fluids.
The Balith project is an example of European multidisciplinary collaboration in which Tecnodimension participates as a technological partner. This project is formed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, experts, large companies, and SMEs from different European countries working to develop, design, and manufacture renewable and organic electrolyte batteries using high-performance inflatable bladders.
Key Innovation: The use of inflatable structures as battery containers represents a disruptive breakthrough in renewable energy. Our R&D&I department has contributed to the design of membranes and structures that guarantee airtightness, durability, and safety under CE regulations, enabling the commercialization of lighter, more transportable, and scalable energy storage solutions.
